Central Advisory Board on Culture (CABC)

In News 

The Ministry of Culture has appointed Sudha Ragunathan as a member of the Central Advisory Board on Culture (CABC). 

About 

  • Central Advisory Board on Culture (CABC) has been constituted to advise the Ministry of Culture at the policy level to evolve programmes that would focus attention on the creativity at different levels of Indian society, and in different regions, which hitherto has been either neglected or not sustained through the existing institutional mechanisms.
  • Its Members provide policy advice to the Ministry on developing programmes focused on creativity at different levels in various regions.
  • The members of the board aid participative decision-making and provide an integrated view of the different ideas and interests from various domains of culture.
  • The Board would be meeting once a quarter and presided by the Minister for Culture.
