About
- Black Percher or Black Ground Skimmer (Diplacodes lefebvrii), a species of dragonfly.
- It belongs to the phylum Arthropoda, class Insecta and orders Odonata.
- Habitat and Distribution :
- It is mostly found in natural or man-made pools and at well-vegetated lakes and flooded depressions with stretches of marshy vegetation, in both inland and coastal situations.
- It has a wide prevalence in Southern Eurasia and the whole of Africa.
- IUCN Status: According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) Red List of threatened species, Black Ground Skimmer was labelled in 2016 as of ‘least concern’.
